From July 1, 2025
Meta pricing will be based on sending Message Templates. In summary:
- Meta will charge per Template Message sent, instead of per conversation.
- Utility templates sent to an open customer service window (1) will be free (Utility templates sent outside of it will remain billable).
- Service conversations (2) are free for all businesses (free conversations are unlimited and no longer capped at 1000 per month).
- For conversations with a free entry point (3) , as soon as you reply to the customer's message within 24 hours, you can reply for free with any type of message, including Templates of any category, for the next 24 hours. After these 24 hours, you can reply only with Message Templates, but still for free.
(1) The customer service window opens when you receive a message from your customer and closes 24 hours later. This 24-hour window is reopened for each new message from the customer (your brand responses are not taken into account).
(2) Service conversations are conversations that start with a message from your customer (so never with a Message Template that you send).
(3) Free entry points are: Click-to-WhatsApp ads that you can run on Facebook and Instagram; and WhatsApp action buttons on your Facebook page . which encourage visitors to your page to write to you on WhatsApp.
