1-to-1 Engagement in Alcmeon
Table of Contents
🎯 Context
Our clients want to be able to send outbound messages , that is, messages sent outside of regular conversations.
Currently, only WhatsApp and Kakaotalk channels are supported.
Later in 2026 , this feature will also be available for Line .
The new "Engagement" pages allow these messages to be sent, whether the customer is already known in Alcméon or not.
⚙️ Prerequisites
Alcmeon's Client Success team has activated the 1-to-1 Engagement feature for the client environment.
The user must have a role with the associated permissions :

Have at least one connected WhatsApp or Kakaotalk account .
💬 Send messages
The sent messages page is located in the "Messages" section.
This page displays:

On the left: the list of connected accounts
In the center: a summary table of the messages sent.
The table contains:
The number of results , a "New message" button, and a search field
The "New message" button opens the detailed creation page shown below.
The search field allows you to filter by message , recipient name or social identifier .
The columns displayed are:
Recipient ID : Recipient's internal Alcmaeon identifier
Recipient name : company name (displayed on the channel)
Social ID : For WhatsApp, this is the phone number
Status : message state which may be
- Sent
- Shipment in progress
- Delivered (message read)
- Error
- Message : text content of the message
Date of dispatch
Sender : Alcmaeon user's email address
Account : account used for sending
Model used : name of the model as saved in the settings
Read : Yes / No
“Eye 👁️” icon : opens the message processing page for the relevant message.
📨 Send a new message
Clicking on "New message" opens a processing page :
1️⃣ Choose a sender and a recipient
The first step is to select:

The sender's account (WhatsApp or Kakaotalk)
The recipient
The "To:" field displays a country flag retrieved using the ipapi.co service.
👉 If the user has an ad blocker, the United Kingdom (UK) is displayed by default.
Depending on the channel, the type of identifier varies:
WhatsApp → Phone number
Kakaotalk → Application identifier (app_userID), etc.
When a number is entered, clicking on the magnifying glass icon 🔍 allows you to check if the contact is known to Alcméon :
✅ If the user is known : previous messages are loaded and their social media name is displayed next to the number. The contact information appears on the right.
❌ If the user is unknown : no additional information is displayed.
A mandatory checkbox appears:
"I confirm that {{company}} has this user's consent to be contacted on this channel as part of your communication."
💡 Important: This field is mandatory .
It is the responsibility of the advisor and the company to ensure that the contact's consent has been obtained (by telephone, email, face to face, etc.).
Once the box is checked, the user can proceed to the next step: choosing a message template .
2️⃣ Choose a message template
This step allows you to select the template that will be used to create the message.
A search bar allows you to filter the models by name or content .
⚠️ Warning:
Only templates configured with the "Advisor - Processing Page" usage are available here.
They must also be active , unlike the standard processing page.
Once the template has been selected via the radio buttons, the "Next: Compose message" button becomes clickable.
For Kakaotalk, it is also possible to send a “free message” and thus not need a message template.
3️⃣ Compose the message
This step allows you to complete the content of the chosen template.
Depending on the type of message, the user may have to provide:
Variables to replace
Media or documents to attach
Agent shortcuts
URL suffixes
Etc.
A preview of the template is displayed on the left to guide the composition:
When the message is complete, the "Send now" button becomes active.
By clicking on "Send now" , the user is redirected to the "Sent Messages" page.
📊 Statistics (Analytics)
A dedicated statistics page is available in the "Volumes" menu:
It includes the following indicators:
Messages sent : total number of outgoing messages (templates or direct messages)
Distinct users : number of people contacted
Conversations triggered : number of conversations initiated following an engagement message
